Yankii Robatayaki and Bar

Food at Yankii challenges traditional cooking methods to elevate your experience and combines Japan’s Yakitori, Kushiyaki and Robata grill cuisines to create a fun fireside cooking experience. It is prepared and served in time honored fashion – with care and attention that honors the origins & traditions that brought it to your plate. 

It goes on further by adding marination and flavor profiles from around the world: Chicken Liver is marinated with a Peruvian-African Anticucho and Chimichurri sauce, the Pork Neck is seasoned with the Korean Barbeque Gochujung sauce and the Salmon cooked Robata-style is marinated with a Chipotle sauce from Mexico.

Seated along the 30-seat counter of the upstairs restaurant, the Robata grill allows diners to get up close and personal to the Chef as he busily prepares and grills the food. Served on a wooden paddle with a customary call out over the bold, rebellious New York style hip-hop soundtrack when a dish is ordered or served, Yankii’s Robatayaki cuisine stimulates the senses. Inspired by the 50’s style Dagashi shops and their bright, colorful candies, the downstairs Cocktail bar pays tribute to Japanese street pop culture with a hip, fun, and underground look, mixing Yankii’s modern take on vintage Gacha machines with dark, moody lighting, perfect for a secret rendezvous. Japanese-inspired cocktails combine Japanese spirits and ingredients to make a selection of unique signature cocktails.
